Jurrie's crib

Oh, my. It’s really been a long time since my last house quest update! Almost as if my mission had failed! But it’s still very much alive, a summary follows.

Let’s look back at the situation in november. I figured I’d have to beg on my knees to get a mortgage worth €200.000 and I knew for sure my parents would have to help out by getting some sort of loan from the bank. I could get about €170.000 following the standard mortgage protocols.

Then my father suggested visiting the bank he had been a client of for 35 years. He’d talk to the person who also handles my parents’ mortgage and suggest that I am a reliable person ;-) After an appointment with the bank, they were willing to grant me the money I needed, without my parents having to chip in. Sweet! The bank I visited earlier also managed to make a proposal for the same amount after they heard I could get it elsewhere, but in the end I stuck with the others, since I already have quite some bank business there.

Jump to now. I got my mortgage proposal and will sign and submit it tomorrow. Next week I’ll be at the real estate-agent signing some temporary contracts. After that, nothing but some major accident rendering me unemployed will stand between me and my crib!

Future posts will be more detailed because I want to post them with lower intervals ;-)
